Hi,
For some reason every password I enter into any OS2 application gets
rejected.
I know the passwords are valid.
Any hints?
Thanks,
Brian

I had this happen on a box that had been running non stop for a few
years,
fix was to reboot it.

Failing that, the old standbys of running
checkini /C /Y:2
checkini /C /T
and
cleanini.exe /DelAll /multipass /LogDel /c /Restart

Cheers

I know that there is a password for the lockup screen function which you
can reset to default by running the lock.rc as a parameter to the
makeini tool. Then there is the password that is with the UPM tool that
is part of Peer, which can be reset to default by replacing the NET.ACC
file with the backup in \IBMLAN\INSTALL (which loses all the prior
settings and reset to password and userid for PASSWORD and USERID
respectively). Then there is the password in Security/2, which can be
reset by uninstalling and installing anew. Other programs have
passwords and their own means to reset them. So if you tell us which
one, then maybe someone can help.

Also, if you've changed codepage since you've set the passwords, then
you should change the codepage back.

Sorry for the vague post I thought about it a bit more after I posted
it. I am familiar with the lockup and UPM fixes, pretty sure I do not
use security /2.
The problem is that I found it strange that ALL my passwords stopped
working, the one to get my mail anything in the browser and I also use
zipstream.
I had not thought about the codepage, so I will go and check that.
Thanks,
Brian
